As editor of CBC®, Cleveland Business Connects Magazine, Kate Buddenhagen works to highlight emerging leaders in the region. With a fresh design and simple approach, CBC® Magazine is a resource that connects Northeast Ohio business professionals and provides valuable information on special events, networking and corporate trends. In addition to serving as editor, Kate is also the sales and marketing director of Contemporary Design Group (CDG), a creative services firm that designs CBC® and assists other businesses with identity/branding, print and web design, and E-marketing initiatives.
Prior to her current positions, Kate worked for four years in several capacities with the Cleveland Indians, most recently as the coordinator of communications and creative services. In that role, she collaborated with CDG, the design partner of the Indians, wrote and edited copy, and managed over 400 creative projects a year. Kate also just finished the spring semester with Kindermusik of Cleveland as a licensed Kindermusik educator teaching music to young children, and she worked with Slider at Progressive Field last summer, where she got run over by Ketchup while holding the finish line of the Hot Dog Derby!
Kate received her degree in communications and music from the University of Miami (FL) in 2001 and a master's degree in Journalism and Communication from The Ohio State University in 2002. She grew up in Independence and now owns a home there. In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with friends and family, exercising, travelling and being active in the local theater community.
